Buses

Visit the bus operator’s websites for specific timetable and route information.

Bluestar operates non-frequent services from the City Centre to local towns outside Southampton. Inside Southampton, Bluestar operates services to Aldermoor, Bitterne, Lordshill, Portswood, Shirley, Sholing, Southampton General Hospital, Townhill Park, Woolston, and a frequent service between Millbrook and Thornhill via Shirley, the City Centre and Bitterne. Bluestar also operates the quay connect bus between Southampton Central Station and Town Quay via the City Centre

First Southampton operates frequent and non-frequent services between the City Centre and local Southampton districts - including Bitterne, Lordshill, Portswood, Shirely, Sholing, Southampton General Hospital, Townhill Park, Woolston and Western. Many of these services are branded as 'City Reds'. They also operate a cross city frequent service to Southampton General Hospital and local towns including Hamble, Hedge End, Fareham, Gosport and Portsmouth.

Unilink operates a frequent service between the City Centre and the University (via Portswood) which also stops at Southampton Airport, Southampton Central Station and the Oceanography Centre. They also operate non-frequent services from the City Centre to Southampton General Hospital (via Portswood and the University) and from the City Centre to Bassett (via the University).

Xelabus offer local services around Freemantle, Shirley and Lordshill and the Bitterne Hoppa shopping services. Xelabus also operates a service from Southampton to Bishops Waltham along with buses between Eastleigh and Hedge End via Mansbridge.

Wheelers Connect operate a local service between the City Centre and Romsey.

Salisbury Reds operates a non-frequent service between the City Centre and Salisbury (via Totton).
