Dave's story

Dave has always cycled but has found the opportunity during the UK lockdown to spend even more time on his bike. Here's what he has to say:

"I was a keen cyclist before the pandemic and in some ways, the situation has changed for the better. With more people now cycling, it’s helped people appreciate what it’s like to be a cyclist.

I have a road bike and an MTB. I use the MTB for commuting to work at Hamble, which involves using the cycle route along Weston shore which is great and also through Victoria country park. I also use it to go off road when I can.

My friends and I regularly go out for Sunday rides on our road bikes (although within the realms of social distancing). A favourite destination is Lymington  in the New Forest, which involves using the cycle route along Third Avenue which is great. I’ve used the cycle routes on the Avenue as well which are a great idea."
