Sustrans have also produced a handy guide - "Teaching a child to ride without stabilisers" - which you can download below.

You can borrow a balance bike or small pedal bike for FREE to help your child learn to ride. These are available from:

the Toy Library at Swaythling Community Centre, SO17 3AT. Open every Tuesday & Wednesday, 10.30am - 12.30pm
Monty's Bike Hub in Sholing (Scout HQ, Stanford Court, SO19 0QX). Open Wednesday 6-8.30pm & Thursday 3-5pm
