An update on improvements at Blechynden Terrace

You may have noticed work taking place at Blechynden Terrace Park next to central station in Southampton. We’re busy regenerating this key walkway from the train station to the city centre. The new park will also honour the memory of those that lost their lives during the Southampton Blitz of the Second World War.

A new metal arch has now been installed which opens up the pinch point between the two walls and is in keeping with the industrial past of the area as the site of the Emperia Buildings which were bombed in 1940. We will publish more information about the park nearer to its completion and re-opening later this year.
