Romsey Road Bridge replacement scheme
Highways England are planning to replace the Romsey Road Bridge which carries the A3057 Romsey Road over the M27. The first stage of the work will take place over the weekend of Friday 28 September to Monday 01 October.
Due to the planned closure of the M27 and the diversions that will be in place during this period, we would encourage people to consider alternatives to driving and, where possible, use public transport. You can find lots of information on other travel options including public transport here. Our Journey Planner can also help by providing local travel information in real-time.
If you do need to drive, you can also use our Journey Planner to find other routes during the closure. So please do plan your journey ahead of time and ensure you leave plenty of extra time for essential car journeys.
