National Clean Air Day - find out how to get involved

You can make a difference

Air pollution is real and harms the health of millions. Unlike a lot of other risks to health a lot of people don’t know what causes air pollution, what effect it has on our bodies or how to reduce exposure to it. There are lots of simple things we can do to help improve air quality in the places we live.

That’s what National Clean Air Day is all about. It’s a chance to find out more about air pollution, share information with your friends and colleagues, and take action to make the air cleaner and healthier for everyone. Join in and be part of the first ever National Clean Air Day. Whether you are an organisation, a school, community group or a member of the public there are lots of ways to get involved.

Walking, cycling, car sharing and using public transport are great ways of helping to improve air quality. The My Journey website has lots of information about sustainable travel and offers some great services to help you make a difference by traveling more sustainably whether that's walking, cycling or using public transport.
