Congratulations to the 2017 My Journey Scooter Challenge winners!

Congratulations to Fordingbridge Infant School for winning the 2017 Scooter Challenge. With Lee-on-the-Solent Infant School, Portway Infant School, Shakespeare Infant School, Chandlers Ford Infant School and St John’s Primary school in Southampton, all runners up.

Pupils at Fordingbridge Infant School blinged their scooters and rode them to school an average of 3.76 days throughout the challenge week. They are now the lucky winners of a brand new ScooterPod for everyone to use.  Georgia T and Louis P-S also won vouchers for Staunton Country Park and Maria H and Charles F won a brand new Razor S Sport Scooter each kindly donated by Nextbase Dash Cams.

A big thanks to our competition sponsors Nextbase Dash Cams, Staunton Country Park, the Peter Ashley Activities Centre and SeaCity Museum, Sustrans, Eastleigh Borough Council and Hampshire County Council for the wonderful prizes you have donated to our competition winners.

If you are looking to train Year R to Year 4 pupils how to ride scooters safely, you can do so with our Scooter Training Guidelines for Teachers. It aims to enable teaching staff to teach pupils how to scoot to school safely during the school day e.g. during a school PE lesson or lunchtime or after school scooting club.
