Does your bike need some TLC?

Visit the Bike Doctor at Guildhall Square (SO14 7FP) every other Thursday from 11am-2pm:The Bike Doctor will give your bike a check-up and fix any basic repairs - for free! All you have to pay for is any new parts needed. For dates click on our events page.

Learn to do it yourself!

Join over 400 people who have learnt how to do basic maintenance on their own bikes in Southampton. Sign up for a two-hour bike maintenance training session to learn how to look after your bike yourself - for only £5! (Currently Unavailable) Learn how to safety check your bike, mend punctures and adjust gears and brakes. This course is the 'Tune Up' session run by RideRide. Unfortunately this is unavailable at this time.

The training is available to anyone 16 years old and over living, working, or studying within Southampton City Council boundaries. To register your interest and for more information, please contact us on or call 023 8083 4219 with your name, contact phone number, which dates you are interested in, postcode of your workplace or home within Southampton City Council boundaries, and whether you want to be informed of future dates as they become available. Want to organise bike maintenance training for community group, workplace or event? Want a daytime session for a group of busy parents or a weekend date for long-day commuters? Please email or call 023 8083 4219 for more information. Group training can be facilitated for groups of young people and adults.

We also have the Bike Kitchen every Monday from 7.00pm - 9.00pm at The Hub Cycleworks in Shirley, Southampton, and Wednesday from 6pm-8pm at Monty's Bike Hub in Sholing if you would like to learn to do it yourself. For more details visit the 'Bike Kitchen' section of the My Journey Website.
