Brake the Cycle

Saints4Sport has teamed up with The Society of St James and Southampton FC’s Saints Foundation using sport as a catalyst for change.

They offer daily activities and Pathways2Employment to support addiction recovery & treatment and aid the growing number of people suffering with mental health conditions and experiencing homelessness.

These free leisure activities, courses and work experience help people to improve their quality of life, self-esteem, physical and mental health. Saints4Sport also creates pathways into volunteering, education and employment.

One of the leisure activities on offer is bicycle rides with the cycling group ‘Brake The Cycle’.

  • Bike Rides every Thursday morning alternating between the New Forest and Queen Elizabeth Country Park. These rides are off road and average about 10-12 miles.

  • Easy paced rides in Southampton’s Parks and quiet roads – Mondays 1-3pm. Perfect for beginner cyclists or those who are looking to improve their fitness.

Attendance at the rides is only through referral, and places are allocated on a come first basis. All equipment, transport and refreshments provided.

Please give your name and contact details to a S4S staff member or contact the team on 07884588490 or email Saints4Sport@ssj.org.uk.
